Hi,
I just found your site and, after browsing through the contents, I promptly added it to my favorites folder! You are providing much needed material for the body of Christ. Be encouraged, and don't let the word-of-faith defenders who send "prophetic" emails of your doom get you down. :-)
Please take a few moments and visit my website in order to read more about my experiences:
Briefly, I spent five years involved in Kansas City Fellowship (Metro Vineyard, as it was later called) and was told by the leadership that God was calling me to the ministry of a seer, like Bob Jones - who was the church's senior prophet. After leaving KCF I became involed in Word of Faith churches for the next six years, finally leaving the movement in 1998. People sometimes cast a strange look at me when I tell them the following: Some are addicted to alcohol, some to drugs, I was addicted to religion. Hey, I spent hours a day listening to or watching Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, and so many others. I went to prayer meetings, conventions, seminars, and stood in those prayer lines! I gave thousands of dollars and kept on "casting my bread on the waters" - and it did come home on every wave - until the waves became so furious I finally filed for bankruptcy! (What happened to that 100 fold return, anyway?) Well, you get the picture. If you would like to hear more about it, or would like to place my testimony on your site, just let me know. I look forward to working with you to help others escape from false teachers and harmful belief systems.
Timothy Smith
