Have you been FREED from God's Holy Sabbath Day? Does it give you tremendous feelings of oogily-googilies to be freed from the Sabbath?
Exactly what are you freed from?
Is it a good thing to be freed from God's will? From the apple of His eye? From His way? His tradition? His custom? His delight? Have you also been freed from The Lord of the Sabbath?
The Bible equates the Lord's Day with all of these things, the Bible always presents the Sabbath as a wonderful thing, a blessing from God Himself, and yet people, angry, bitter people, attempt to "spread the Good News of freedom from God's Sabbath." Every time the Sabbath is presented as a "negative," it is due to people and their man-made traditions, their faulty attempts to change what God set in place.
We are told that we are to call the Sabbath a delight, that we are to DELIGHT in the Sabbath -- do you understand the word "delight?" It means something incredibly wonderful, something beyond happiness and gladness and enjoyment. We are told that if we delight ourselves in the Lord that He will give us the desires of our heart!
WHY would we want to separate ourselves from God's delight? WHY would we want to separate ourselves from the desires of our heart, if Jesus is living in our hearts?
Jesus the Lord of the Sabbath, and folk celebrate HATING the Sabbath. Does that make sense? Jesus says He will give us rest, and people say "We don't WANT rest! We want freedom from rest!"
Have you been taught that the Sabbath is a dirty word? Have you been taught to hate the Jews? To hate the Bible?
WHY would anyone teach you to hate?
I mean, honestly, TO HATE?! Is God Hate, or is God LOVE?
Yahweh calls the Sabbath "My own day." Can that be a BAD thing, the Lord's Day? Is the Sabbath a negative in your mind? The Bible says it was Jesus' custom to worship God with others, read the Scriptures, on the Sabbath day -- can the Sabbath be a BAD thing?
You need to think long and hard about WHY you have been taught to despise DELIGHT, a day of rest and celebration, a day of remembering Creation, remembering the Messiah and His gift to the world, a day to set aside fear and anger and strife and work and works and striving and REST -- and God gifted us this, way back, way, way, way back when the world was created, on the Seventh day Yahweh rested and called it good, He blessed it, He hallowed the day, and then stamped these truths in the heart of the Ten Commandments -- God recorded these very truths with His own finger, on the tablet that has to do with loving God with your whole heart, your whole mind, your whole soul, your whole spirit, your whole strength, and yet you have been taught to despise DELIGHT, the very apple of God's eye.
You can read the Bible on your very own, without a little guru watching over your shoulder, and do you know what? You will discover absolutely NO reason to hate the Sabbath. Not once does God speak against what He already blessed, the Sabbath. Not once does He rescind His commandment, the Sabbath. Not once does God say "hate" what He already told you to "delight" in, to hold in your heart. Read the Bible, the whole Bible...
...the Old Testament surely doesn't teach you to hate God's Holy Sabbath Day! Nor does the New Testament. The New Testament supports the Old Testament and the Old Testament supports the New Testament. Surprise, surprise, they are One Bible, not two.
The Bible did not teach you to hate the Sabbath, nor hate the Jews, nor hate the very Word of God -- only evil or deceived false teachers can do that. Only the false shepherds of brought that about, not you in your own personal Bible study.
Have you studied the Bible, independently, apart from me, apart from Bible Answermen and anointed gurus and snake-oil salesmen? Have you allowed the Holy Spirit to lead your through His Word? For the Truth?
The Truth is, God does not change, regardless of the mindless chants of the anointed ones.
The Truth is, Jesus is the same today as He was yesterday and so tomorrow.
The Truth is, God gave you a gift that should bring you delight, whether you meet the Apostle Paul down by the riverside on the Sabbath day, or whether you stand alone with Beloved John the Revelator, on the Lord's Day.
God is One. The Truth is one. The Bible is one.
Why have you followed something completely ELSE?
Why have you followed hatred instead of LOVE?
Why have you celebrated your own imagination instead of God's Will, His Way, His Truth, His Word, His Spirit?
When they tell you that you have been FREED from God's Truth . . . will you still follow them? Will you still believe them? Will you still do the opposite of what God says, what God pleads with you to do, what God commands you to do.
Isn't it something, God is so much like a good parent Who gives His children good gifts. Out of love He cautions, don't go there, don't do that, it'll hurt you, I love you and don't want you to be hurt. Out of love He tells us something that will last forever, throughout eternity, His love for us, He concern for us . . . and the false teachers say, "No, you have been FREED from that concern, from that love. No, do NOT remember, no, you need to forget."
God says DELIGHT.
They say bondage.
God says REMEMBER.
They say forget.
God says LOVE.
They say hate.
God says ORDER.
They say confusion.
God says UNDERSTAND.
They say mystery.
There should be very little choice for you to make. Will you choose BLATANT TRUTH? Or will you choose their sneaking, lying, deceptive ways?
I don't think there's much of a choice to make. I think it should be simple.
The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart. I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.
I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love. Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God. Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope. Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood. Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.
Don't let anyone trick you out of the gift that God has given to you (don't step into the snare set by "sabbath refuters," those that hate the Law of God -- don't entertain their "vain thoughts." God says: "Depart from me, ye evildoers." Instead, love His laws, for they are beautiful. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, much fine gold; sweeter also than honey, and the honeycomb.
If ye then,
being evil,
know how
to give
good gifts
unto your
children,
how much
more shall
your Father
which is in
heaven give
good things
to them that
ask him?
Matthew 7:11
God gives us good gifts, He gave us the Sabbath, do you believe Him? Or is the Sabbath a day of dread, instead?
The Sabbath is our gift from God, the first gift in the Garden of Eden!
Do not err,
my beloved
brethren.
Every good
gift and
every
perfect gift
is from above,
and cometh
down from
the Father
of lights, with
whom is no
variableness,
neither shadow
of turning. Of
His own will
begat he us
with the Word
of Truth, that
we should be
a kind of
firstfruits
of His
creatures.
James 1:16-18
Make no mistake about it, God's Sabbath day, a gift to us, is a perfect gift, from the Father of lights, Who does not change, doesn't even hint at turning or changing!
The New Covenant:
For this is the
covenant that I
will make with
the house of
Israel after
those days,
saith the Lord;
I will put my
Laws into their
mind, and write
them in their
hearts:
and I will be to
them a God,
and they shall be
to me a people:
Hebrews 8:10
Are you a part of
the New Covenant?
Has God written
His laws, including
the Fourth Commandment,
in your heart? DId
He put His Sabbath
in your mind?
For the
Son of
man is
Lord
even
of the
Sabbath
day.
Matthew 12:8
Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Do you believe it? It is His own holy day, it is the Lord's day, the Seventh Day, blessed by God at the creation of the world!
And He said
unto them,
"The Sabbath
was made
for man, and
not man for
the Sabbath:
Therefore the
Son of man
is Lord also
of the Sabbath."
Mark 2:27-28
This is Jesus speaking about Himself. Do you believe Him? Did He really make His own holy day a gift for all mankind? Or do you prefer the "traditions of the elders?"
